46th Annual World Series of Poker Tournament gets Rained On

Posted on: August 30, 2015

According to the Business Insider, the 46th Annual World Series of Poker tournament received a minor blow on Monday, when a leak in corner of the Brasilia Ball Room caused by a heavy storm temporarily delayed the main event of the tournament, the No-Limit Texas Hold ‘Em poker games.

Once water from the storm leaked on to some of the tables, officials decided to relocate the No Limit game to the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas. Since only some of the tables needed to be moved, a total of 23 tables will be relocated after dinner to the Amazon Room. Specifically, tables 1-19, 24, 31, 38, and 39 will be rerouted towards the center of the room, leaving all other tables unaffected. Despite the rain delay, play continued to resume as scheduled, at precisely 8:18 pm, directly after the dinner break. Reports showed that shortly after the delay was announced, play resumed as scheduled.
